COVID-19 Update as of January 15, 2021
We continue to provide COVID19 relief assistance. As of 1/1/2021, the Serving Center has spent $2,800,000 for rent and utilities for families impacted by COVID19. The curb-side food distribution will continue until further notice. The clients present their food voucher at the front door and the grocery cart of food is loaded into their vehicle.
The hours of distribution are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10 am to 1 pm, and Saturday from 10 am to 12 pm.
Requests for financial assistance will continue to be made through the portal on the website where clients can submit their requests with a copy of their bills. This is followed up with a phone call to the client for the intake process. Clients are picking up their food vouchers and checks in the lobby during the food distribution hours. There is a cubicle in the lobby with plexiglass partitions and only two clients are admitted at the same time. A door attendant monitors the clients entering the lobby.
Thank you to everyone for your compassion, hard work, flexibility, and willingness to serve our community and clients during COVID19.
The Treasures thrift stores reopened with reduced hours and are open Monday through Friday from 10 am to 2 pm, and Saturdays from 9 am to 12 pm. The donation receiving area is open Monday through Saturday from 8 am to 4 pm. We are accepting merchandise and food donations. For furniture pick ups, please call 512-244-2431. The Serving Center will continue to operate with modified reduced hours until further notice.
The Serving Center will be closed for President’s Day on Monday, February 15, 2021

Financial contributions are needed and would be most appreciated if designated for COVID-19. Those special funds would only be used for the families impacted by COVID-19.
Since the facility is closed to the public, we have our six staff working plus about 12-15 volunteers. We’re praying that everyone stays healthy so that the Serving Center can continue to distribute food and operate.
